Cardamon for colic?
A previous post talked about some of my favourite Autumnal oils to warm and soothe.
Cardamon, a member of the Ginger family is one of my favourites for pregnancy and postnatal support but it is also recommended for colic.
A mild blend of Cardamon, German Chamomile, Fennel and Ginger is suggested for infant colic in The Healing Intelligence of Essential Oils – The Science of Advanced Aromatherapy.
Colic is painful and upsetting for new mums and babies and essential oils may be a gentle alternative to the many medical recommendations which are often unsuccessful. If your baby has colic – or suspected colic – why not speak to an aromatherapist and consider another option.
