Why I LOVE Wimbledon!
When I start seeing the BBC adverts for Wimbledon early June I get a real flutter of excitement and I definitely start blocking out my diary!
I remember coming home from school as a young child to my mum sitting with the curtains drawn mid afternoon to block out the summer sunshine and didn’t get it at all.
But watching the Murray v Federer Men’s Final in 2012 with my Mum and Dad eating strawberries and cream and last year’s corker that was Murray v Djokovic with my young Nephew, Sister and Brother-in law I feel it’s a real family affair.
We like our traditions and in our family tennis is something we all share and love. Even my little niece’s are getting in on the act, both having lessons and they’re becoming rather good!
Creating your own family and new traditions is something to cherish and who know’s, you could be giving birth to the next British Champion! We have high hopes for James!!
Yesterday was an absolute delight for me watching both Federer and Nadal in an afternoon.
What traditions do you have or are hoping to start with your new addition? Love to hear from you.
