Baby Apps to make life with your newborn easier …

Geek or IT expert I am not, but I have to say I like the odd gadget or two – especially ones that save me time or make life easier!

Here are some of my favourites..

Perfect for keeping track of your baby’s development and sleeping patterns. I feel it can help with effective “rooming in” as recommended by Baby Friendly as you can check if your baby is sound asleep or not fully settled before you head into bed by observing their breathing and movements.

… Great for keeping track of feeds – which boob was used, how long the feed lasted etc to build up an easy to see “pattern” and alert you to any significant changes. Also track sleeps and poos too without having to switch wrist bands or keep a detailed notepad.

The deliberately hard-hitting advert from St John’s Ambulance is a real tear jerker and I’m not sure I’d recommend watching it when pregnant BUT the app seems a great idea. See the comment about a new mum saving her choking baby’s life from information gleaned from the app.

Which Pregnancy and Baby Apps are you loving at the minute?
