The 7 Benefits of a Maternity Mastermind

Being pregnant whilst holding down a demanding and senior position can be a challenge – even for the most organised.

Like any new experience there is much to learn but how do you decide what is real need to know vs. good to know but not essential, when you have limited time and energy to devote to your new project?

My experience of looking after literally hundreds of women working through their pregnancy has honed my skills to identify what I believe are the key issues and information and I have also studied the benefits of being part of a Mastermind group.

It may seem like the last thing you would want to do when pregnant but here are 7 reasons why I believe joining a Maternity Mastermind will offer you the key to a happy and heathy baby and business.

1. You’ll be part of an Exclusive (Growing!) Community.

Being Senior and Pregnant you may be in the minority in your office. Equally if you are working in a more male dominated industry which most of my clients are. If you are an Entrepreneur this may certainly be the case.

In joining a Maternity Mastermind with like-minded women you can ensure you all access and discover similar useful information together but are all working from a level of knowledge and understanding about what being pregnant at a certain point in your career really means – and its benefits and challenges.

2. Sound Off, Have A Solid Sounding Board, and Feel Supported.

As many senior women have discovered, being pregnant at work can be a conundrum. As your bump and body expands you can ironically feel more invisible and even vulnerable.

The feeling that you are “alone” dissipates when you are part of a supportive group and as the research into the pregnant mind shows this is not because you are suddenly paranoid but your centre of gravity is changing along with many other physical and emotional changes which can knock you “off balance”.

I have introduced many women during this time who are still close friends way beyond when their children started school and have found the support invaluable. Having a group who “get” your changing moods and feelings can be worth their weight in gold alongside my wealth of experience.

3. Three Cheers for Collaboration.

Whether it’s a personal or professional issue it is highly likely you will be able to put your head together with other members of the group, to achieve more with less effort.

Conserving your energy in pregnancy makes real sense and collaborating can achieve this. The phrase “many hands make light work” can be something to embrace at a time when you have more limited reserves.

4. Grow your Network.

Being part of a Maternity Mastermind will expand your network exponentially – and fast.

Fast track great connections be that sourcing great childcare, creating a nursery, finding great house movers or knowing where to find the best falafel’s at midnight.

Shared knowledge can make the pregnancy journey smoother and sweeter as many of my previous clients will testify.

5. Fast-Track your Learning.

You only have 9 months of your pregnancy to learn what you need and it’s unlikely to be the only project you will be managing.

Fast track great connections to speed up the process and relieve the pressure.

Have access to my unique library of resources developed over the last 10 years to ensure you are ahead of the curve and have access to some of the best professionals and advice from the maternity world.

6. Co-operative Marketing.

When you join my Maternity Mastermind , you will most likely find ways to help each other by utilizing cross promotion. Many of my clients are still very keen to progress their career alongside their pregnancy and finding ways to help each other through this period in relation to your career can be very beneficial.

7. Stretch your thinking.

Becoming a mother can be exhilarating and exhausting but it’s very natural to have moments and periods of overwhelm and fear even though you are looking forward to the end result! I can help you stretch beyond your boundaries, teach you proven ways to calm and centre and introduce you to new mothers a few months ahead on the journey who can show you how good it can be. There are many ways to be a mother and have a career and I can present you with many options to broaden your mindset.
