Treatment Need-to-Know
Experiencing maternity coaching and/or pregnancy and postnatal sessions in the comfort of your own home can add to the results and benefits you receive. To ensure you get the best from every session please take a few moments to read through the following so you can feel totally at ease whether we are connecting remotely or face-to-face.
Appointment Length and Booking Time
Every effort is made to be punctual so please commit to the same. Occasionally transport and travel delays are beyond our control but if you are receiving a face-to-face session the commitment to you is as follows:-
- To be with you within 15 minutes of your allocated booking time. You will receive a text to your mobile as the first contact for any delays.
- To allocate the full time for each appointment – from the time we arrive (not the booking start time)
Please note: It’s recommended that you allow time after the treatment or session however it is received to snooze, rest or reflect and allow your body and mind to process the experience.
Cancellations
Should you need to cancel or change your appointment we ask for a minimum 24 hours notice or the full cost of the treatment may be charged or session lost. You will receive a reminder email of your appointment 7 days and 24 hours prior giving you the option to reschedule online is required. For further details, please see our Legalities page.
Caution Recommended
Bespoke treatments to support conditions such as Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD); Oedema; treatments in early pregnancy for nausea or sickness including Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG); or following recurrent miscarriage may be very helpful. They are usually booked in addition to the structured sessions provided as part of a corporate maternity package.
Contraindications (or when to avoid a treatment)
Whilst treatments are generally beneficial at most times of your pregnancy or the postnatal period, it is important that we ensure everything you do for you and your baby/babies is safe. There is no evidence to show that the reflexology, massage or aromatherapy treatments we provide are unsafe to receive, however, there are a few conditions that would contra-indicate treatment. These include:
- Venous Thrombosis (D.V.T.)
- Placenta Praevia (low lying placenta) if Grade II or III after 32 weeks gestation
- Polyhydramnios – if there is too much amniotic fluid around the baby after 32 weeks gestation
- Oligohydramnios – there is an insufficient amount of amniotic fluid surrounding the baby
- Pre-eclampsia
- Recent vaginal bleeding
- History of premature labour
In these instances you are most likely to be closely monitored by your Midwife or Obstetrician but if there are any concerns, contact with your Health Care Professionals can be made. We always recommend you advise your antenatal team of your treatments and share with them any positive benefits you may experience.
Database & Wi-fi access
Appointments are managed by Schedule Once web-based software, PCI-compliant environment and redundant, off-site storage so our data – your personal details – remain safe and sound. If you are receiving a face-to-face session and have wi-fi which is password protected you may asked for access to this during your session so we can access your account, update your details and re-schedule your next session if required.
Emergency Contact Information
We ask for basic contact details of an emergency contact (usually your husband or partner) prior to arrival just in case you become unwell during a session. On rare occasion we may contact partners. Our main priority is your safety and wellbeing and all details are treated with respect.
Loyalty
We have grown through word of mouth. We appreciate all referrals and it’s also important we thank others who introduced us. Please do let us know how you heard of our services.

As part of your treatments or sessions, hand towels, organic essential oils and massage oils may be brought to your treatment; however cushions, pillows and a couch or massage table will not. Your selection of home furniture (chairs, beds, footstools etc) enable you to receive a treatment; be it a hand and foot massage, head and shoulder massage or reflexology session. This also gives you the advantage of learning how to keep yourself well positioned at home, throughout your pregnancy and the early postnatal period. We will discuss beforehand if we are holding a face-to-face treatment rather than a coaching session. Prices are all on application. Corporate accounts are the norm and based on minimum numbers of take-up. For private appointments a direct BACS transfer payment is requested. Payment will be processed in advance of your package starting. Towels, Tables & Bolster Cushions
