Yoga, Sunrise and a Gong Bath
Time on my mat is time for me.
It resets my mood. Strengthens my core. Opens my heart.
Add in a Sunrise and its Hello Happiness.
Send in Swann, a Taurus New Moon, a Balearic storm and it’s time to ground into the feminine and re-centre yourself. Seriously, you couldn’t make this up!
I’ve been on several retreats in my time.
Those which nurture and send you back to your life, happy, healthy and whole again.
Those which have you up and out early doors, ice bath before bed and half a stone lighter and brighter by the end.
Those which promise healthy juices, detox and dreamy beaches and deliver hunger, hard beds and happy days when you get back to the airport.
Turn left, don’t mind if I do.
As someone who is curious, loves an adventure and is slightly of the ‘all or nothing’ disposition, when I retreat, I GO.ALL.IN.
My most recent retreat was in Ibiza.
Five nights in a luxury villa tucked high in the hilltops, led by my lovely friend and ISHTA Yoga teacher Clare Daniell and her husband Tom. I just knew it would deliver..
ISHTA Yoga, was founded and created by Yogiraj Alan Finger. Blending the ancient and contemporary sciences of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda, Clare teaches classes that are mellow and mindful and her retreats allow you to unravel slowly but surely, re-set and re-balance. Re-connect and re-joice!
I loved Ibiza from the first day I arrived 4 years ago and it has held a special place in my heart ever since. I was excited and a little anxious to return for personal reasons but delighted to be doing so with an amazing group of women and as a yoga teacher myself.
The retreat was incredible. Delicious food. Relaxed vibes. Flowing conversation. And Sleep. Deep Restorative Sleep.
The yoga was wonderful. My body and mind felt connected, healthy and strong.
The moon bath was wild. Seriously WILD.
Sound waves stirring up my chakras left me feeling a little off centre and I declined a one-on-one experience with our sound healer but it was amazing to be a part of and nothing like the previous experiences I’ve had.
Retreats come in all shapes and sizes and I’m now working on my latest offering before possibly joining Clare again on Silver Island where we first met.
I can’t recommend a retreat highly enough. For you, for your friends, for the ones you love.
Dip a toe in. I am sure you will love it. Oh yes, and am I looking at organising my own next year? You betcha 🙂 Keep you posted…
