Healthy Masculinity in Leadership Mastermind

A 90-day transformational growth grogram for men called to expand how they lead and live.

Leaders are the ones who have the courage to go first, to put themselves at personal risk to open a path for others to follow.
— Simon Sinek, Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action

It’s time for male leaders to become emotionally connected role models who lead in ways that serve.

Easy, right?

Wrong.

In these times of heightened expectation when the pressure is on, challenging stereotypes, championing equity and transforming the systemic frameworks that are holding us all back - by speaking up and leading differently - demands a high level of emotional or heart intelligence and a willingness to take a stand.

The pandemic accelerated the need for leaders to change and although outwardly male leaders may appear successful, many now share they are struggling and urgently want to change.*

The old paradigm of business and work where we overcommit, overwork, never say no and are always on the go feels outdated. A new paradigm where people and purpose come before profit is emerging, but it can be hard to fully commit and not backslide.

Men have told us they want to know how to be less reactive and respond more calmly, how to collaborate rather than compete, how to manage their wellbeing and model a healthier version of masculinity which allows them to have honest and open relationships and truly lead well.

Men want to be inclusive leaders but fear being judged, mocked, criticised or blamed.

Men want to be compassionate leaders, vulnerable and strong.

Yet as much as they want to be the “good guy”, they don’t want it to take too long and want to know - what’s in it for them?

We’ve listened and created a program accordingly..

Slide and data from Engaging Men in Inclusion and Diversity by Potentia, Token Man and WeAreTheCity

Data tells us that becoming an emotionally intelligent, inclusive leader does serve men (and boys, women, girls, trans and non-binary) but men need support to connect and unpack their feelings before they can really help.

And they need encouragement to overcome their resistance and fears.**

We live in a society that asks man to whitewash their narratives and keep a lid on their emotions. This is both killing men and damaging the boys coming along behind.
— Mark Greene, Remaking Manhood: The Modern Masculinity Movement: Stories From the Front Lines of Change

We can’t become our best selves by ourselves, yet so many leaders still work in isolation and are stuck - suppressing their inner critic, struggling with their mental health and feeling tired and overwhelmed.

Maybe you are one of them..?

Perhaps you want to show up more and take a stand against racism, bullying and sexual harassment but find words like patriarchy, toxic masculinity and misogyny triggering and so step back instead of forward?

Many men tell us that they do.

Do you ask for help when you need it or keep how you feel inside?

However you are showing up now as a leader please know you are not alone because many men, especially if they are white and aged between 40 and 55, have admitted that they feel stuck, lost and confused.

So, what, if anything, is the answer?

Having participated in masterminds we know how powerful it can be when you call on the collective wisdom in the room to challenge stuck patterns of fixed thinking.

And when you add in transformational group coaching with first-class, highly experienced leadership facilitators, in a trusted, safe environment with peers you respect, you get a program for leaders that delivers the experience of being more open and connected, and highlights the challenges that come up for men - in real time.

Joining this Healthy Masculinity Mastermind will help you or the men in your organisation to:-

  1. Stretch and redesign leadership, to inspire, impact and influence others with more ease.

  2. Connect with like-minded change-makers, to help reimagine new possibilities and elevate your sense of purpose.

  3. Get over the fear of “doing the work” and learn what beliefs or long-held assumptions need to be explicitly reset and what emotional baggage can be dropped.

  4. Balance the increasing pressure for results with a need to ‘up the ante’ in creating a more human and psychologically safe working culture. (No more burnout).

  5. Embed more innovative, fearless and learning-orientated mindsets that will ensure your teams can be future fit.

  6. Expand Your Relational Intelligence to be a Better Leader, Ally and Man.

Leaders must either invest a reasonable amount of time attending to fears and feelings, or squander an unreasonable amount of time trying to manage ineffective and unproductive behaviour.
— BRENÉ Brown, Dare to Lead: Brave Work. Tough Conversations. Whole Hearts

That’s great, but I still want to know: What’s in it for me?!

Over 3 months YOU will learn how to :-

  • Let go of trying to dominate, control, always be in charge, know all the answers or “right” and instead re-orientate your energy so you are clear on your purpose and ability to inspire and elevate others.

  • Move from power “over” to power “with” so you mirror, reflect and witness other leaders, accelerating your skills as a facilitator to energise and foster a new culture of growth, ideas and expansion.

  • Collaborate with others to ensure the wellbeing and performance of you and your business becomes a shared concern, with radical action takers and critical resources in place - and not the weight of the world only on your shoulders.

Imagine how freeing and expansive this could this make you feel.

What could this result in happening?

and understand the power that comes when you: -

  • Shift from competition to sharing resources, over-providing to personal responsibility, feelings of failure into personal best and conflict aversion into open and direct communication.

  • Role model what it is to be open, human and imperfect with the courage and humility to admit your mistakes and evolve without anger, aggression or shutdown.

  • Lead with curiosity rather than certainty, treating others with respect to help you and your people become the best you all can be.

We’ve created this program to provide a space where male leaders can be vulnerable and honest on their journey to unlearn old behaviours - safely.

Where men will feel supported and able to admit when wrong or confused to course-correct and expand.

How good could it feel to re-set your intentions, shift your behaviour and discover new ways to work alongside other leaders, all doing the same?

These are just some of the outcomes which we know are possible and not only will men transform their own health, mindset and impact but in modelling a healthier version of masculinity in leadership, they can inspire and engage other leaders and the people around them too.

Let’s talk about how you or the male leaders in your company can become more emotionally intelligent, inclusive and part of this program starting soon.
